Betty’s passion for naturopathic medicine and environmental issues goes back over 20 years from the time she graduated with her bachelor's and masters of arts degrees in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. Prior to graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, she worked for over 15 years in the environmental and energy industries, speaking at numerous environmental conferences and attending several international climate change and sustainable development meetings. Betty has worked in Indonesia, where she developed an environmental research center and trained staff in water quality issues. This experience has given her in-depth knowledge into the effects that environmental contaminants have on our health and the role they play in many diseases. She also has additional certification and training in Reiki, facial rejuvenation acupuncture, cosmetic mesotherapy, biopuncture and Intravenous Therapy. Her experience has shown her that in this day and age an excess of heavy metals is often found in people of all ages and can result in annoying symptoms or chronic illnesses that just don't seem to resolve. In addition to environmental medicine, Betty has a special interest in sports medicine as she has a passion for the outdoors and is an avid skier, kayaker and is a certified PADI scuba instructor. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Betty can help you learn more about how naturopathic medicine can identify your environmental and toxic exposure and help you regain health and wellness.
